The Coming Decade project was partner of this year's UPCLIV Workshop on Understanding and Predicting Annual to Multi-Decadal Climate Variations in Bologna, Italy.
As invited speaker, Johanna Baehr presented “A seamless co-creative approach to decadal prediction: the Coming Decade project.”
Other Coming Decade speakers:
- Daniel Krieger: “Decadal Predictability of the European Summer Climate: Skill Limits and Strategies to Overcome Them.”
- Christopher Kadow: “Bridging Sparse Observations: Transfer‐Learning Neural Networks Enhance North Atlantic and Europe Seasonal2Annual Climate Predictions.”
- Iuliia Polkova: “New assimilation experiments with ICON-XPP and their diagnostics for the DWD decadal Predictions.”
Coming Decade posters:
- Andreas Paxian: "Multi-decadal predictions of temperature in Germany."
- Ned Williams: "Understanding Predictability of the North Atlantic Oscillation."
- Samira Ellmer: "Can we obtain annual sums of days exceeding a temperature threshold from decadal predictions?"
- Philipp Ertz: "Spatial Bayesian Quantile Regression for the Calibration of Multi-Year Extreme Climate Predictions."
- Henning Rust: "Re-calibrating monthly resolved decadal predictions."
